Photoshop Comic Inking Tutorial (WACOM)

This was requested by a reader a number of months ago. I was incredibly slow and kept procrastinating, but I have finally completed it. This are just my techniques, which are constantly changing. I am an amateur and continually trying to improve. If you have any suggestions I welcome them!! I hope that this might prove helpful.     Wow, nice job on your inking! You’re very good! I have been struggling for a while now with drawing lines that start out thin, then get thick, and go thin again (using a pen tablet with Photoshop). I can’t seem to find the pressure sensitivity settings you mentioned, where are they? I’ve ended up actually inking in Flash because the brush tool automatically smooths my lines…but I’d like to be able to get such nice lines in Photoshop…any suggestions?

    how do u get the lines so crips, when i do it there is a grey blur around the edges?

    does the variation in line weight come from pen pressure or is that coming all from a photoshop brush?

    All of the line variation is coming from pen pressure. I am just using a standard brush, and clicked my pressure sensitivity up one towards the firm side.
