What do you call the art of drawing other people?

What do you call drawing OTHER people, not just drawing people. For example I have a friend named John, what do you call the art of drawing him and not just drawing an imaginary person? I just want to know what you call it, how to do it will also be very very nice cause I am interested in learning. I live in the Philippines and if you know any place where there are lessons, please tell me.
